Brief History of Our Company
Steve Williams Custom Homes, Inc., is built around Steve Williams’ extensive experience in the construction industry. The path that led to our current company began with a very young Steve working in the family business at a neighborhood lumber and hardware store named Williams True Value Home Center. During his high school days, Steve worked his way up, earning the title of Building Materials Manager. Following graduation, he became General Manager of the operation. Throughout this time, he took advantage of all the numerous opportunities for education in the industry, learning by doing. Steve coordinated the talents of a team by overseeing 17 employees. He also developed new product lines for the retail operation, and for the in-house millwork fabrication division.

After the Home Center was sold in 1984, Steve devoted full attention to a small contracting business he had started two years prior. The partnership operated under the name Construction Services Enterprises (CSE) for approximately three years, at which time Steve incorporated the business as Williams Ventures. He started building spec homes and remodeling homes in 1987, and eventually changed the company’s name to Steve Williams Custom Homes, Inc.
